Dear Young Members
FIABCI SAFARI!
I am writing this for the 1st quarter in 2010 as I am travelling on my way back from the beautiful Cape Town after yet another fruitful Board Meeting. It is the 1st time that FIABCI ever have a Board of Directors Meeting in the great continent of Africa and the very 1st FIABCI Trade Delegation to Africa that include the continuing visit to Nigeria where representatives from Ghana and Tanzania are included to foster an African booster for FIABCI.

So, a picture speaks a thousand words – here are the million words that spell SUCCESS!

We have the highest participation and the almost perfect organisation is making us to rethink of a 2nd serving again in Bansko again for 2011.
Other than the usual suspects from Europe, the trip also has participation from Asia and America.
Well done to Mr Michel van Thiel our Young Members Committee President for Europe who took charge of the trip along with Ms Irena Perfanova and the rest of her formidable Bulgarian team.
The months of effort are well worth it as we have planted a healthy seed of friendship within the Young Members for a better future of FIABCI.

Venue: Metropole Hotel, Brussels, Belgium Date: 5 December 2010 (Sunday) Time: Starting 1430
The following is an extract from the official minutes:
“Chris presented his report in his official capacity as the President of the Young Members Committee.
Chris reported that within FIABCI there are about 300 members representing 10% of the overall membership with 50% in Europe, 25% in the Americas and 25% in the Asia Pacific region. There are 31 Chapters that have Young members, 25 that do not. The most populated chapter is the Netherlands. A good part of this is attributed to the successful Exchange Program in the Netherlands.

Dear Young Members,
We are happy to invite you for the Young Members Ski-trip 2010. This year we will be heading for the Bulgarian mountains in Bansko in the week of 20-27 of February 2010. The ski area was only created in the last decade, but has yet over 70 kilometers of ski runs, sufficient to have a week of fun on the slopes.
ACCOMODATION
Our FIABCI YM friends Irena Perfanova and Hristo Nestorov from Bulgaria took the effort to travel to Bansko and select a number of hotels and apartment lodges. Hotel PERUN LODGE came out as the best of a selection of hotels. It is a four star hotel, delivered only in 2007, which means the hotel and facilities are fairly new. It includes lots of luxury like a private swimming pool, fitness, spa, restaurant, bar and so on. The costs are only € 35 p.p.p.n. (per person per night), a discounted group rate.
PARTICIPANTS
Currently we have 15 international YM (mainly from European countries) and 10 Bulgarian Young Members participating, so that’s 25 people already and the number is growing. We have an option for another 10 rooms, so make sure to register right away!
